Trump vs. Ventriloque: Who is the real puppet?

My initial plan for the last part of this mini-series was to make Trump against the red skull. A shameless Nazi with a oddly color face? How could I resist?
And yet, the more we plunge into the pit in hell and inflamed purniteuse which is Trump’s second term, the more I start to wonder if I am entirely on the right track. Maga’s false geek Could even consider these nasty comparisons as compliments. More importantly, do I give Trump too much credit?
To be clear: I hold my previous analyzes. Trump is a worst president that Luthor, a killer more prolific than the Joker, and a dictator more ruthless than Doctor Doom. But each of these bad guys is his own man with his own ideas, his intellect and his moral code, as he is. But Trump? He is more puppet than master.
And that brings us to today’s position.
For those who have not heard of the ventriloquist – one of Batman’s less known Nemeses, of course – he made his debut Detective comics # 583-584. The Ventriloquist puppet, Scarface, is a drug gangster that foams traitors and competitors. The ventriloquist itself is gentle, delicate, and such a non -entity that he did not obtain a real name – Arnold Wesker – or an origin up to several years after his beginnings.

But don’t feel too sorry for him.

“Only according to orders,” you say? Now, why does that seem familiar to you? Ah, yes, the Final report to the army secretary in trials against Nuernberg war crimes. Here is a choice of choice (mine on the accent):
“That the incredible massacres (Jews from Eastern Europe) charged in the indictment had in fact taken place, the documentary proof has left no doubt….Some accused have endeavored to deny personal participation in these murders; Most of them were strongly based on the defense of “higher orders”…. (T) The court condemned (SS Major General Otto) Ohlendorf and thirteen other death defendants by suspension. »(Page 189-190)
Yes, “only to follow orders” is not a great way to generate sympathy for your character, but it may not have been their intention: some stories represent Scarface as a magic object that controls vulnerable people, while others claim that it is only a conduit for Wesker to express his violent fantasies. Anyway, Wesker becomes so dependent on Scarface that, when deprived of his business, he collapses or, more often, is looking for a substitute. A literal sock on your hand is better than facing life alone.

Now let’s see towards Trump. If this man has ever had an original idea or a personal achievement, he is well buried under a chain of a billion dollars. Its “opinions” and “morals” can be predicted on the basis of who is around him And What he sees on television::
If it is true that, as Oscar Wilde wrote, “most people are other people”, this is certainly more true for Trump than for anyone without a level as high of unsafe privilege that it isolates them against developing fundamental ethics and critical thinking skills.
So here we have two men who are clearly and desperately in Thrall to others. How do we decide which one is the largest puppet? Detective comics # 831 provides an index. When Harley Quinn was incarcerated for the first time, Wesker risked the anger of Scarface to brighten up his day.

Wesker was willing to endure the abuses of his puppet master – whether you interpret it as a mental illness or a cursed doll – just to make someone else happy.
So there are: two pathetic men who Activate the commission of horrible acts And refuse to take responsibility for themselvesBut one of them still has enough decency in the depths inside for at least to tryAt personal costs, to help another person and brake the worst excesses of his master. And it was not he who was elected president of the United States.
