Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators among PGL Wallachia Season 3 invites

Questioner team and Wrestlers Jaemin They are among eight teams invited to participate in Dota 2 PGL Wallachia Season 3 Championship.

The event, run by tournament organizer PGL, includes a total of 16 teams who will compete for its $1 million (~£812,915) prize pool.

The third installment of PGL’s Dota 2 tournament series will take place in PGL Studios in Romania from 8 to 16 March 2025.

The remaining eight places will be decided through qualifiers with four teams from Europe, two from the Americas, one from Southeast Asia, and one from China winning.

Team Liquid heads into the tournament as the current Dota 2 International Champion. In the last major Dota 2 tournament of 2024, ESL One Bangkok, the organization finished second behind PARIVISION.

Notably, all eight teams invited for Season 3 of PGL Wallachia finished in the top 12 in Valve’s season-ending tournament last year.

PGL Wallachia Season 3 is one of three Dota 2 tournaments that are part of PGL Series throughout 2025. The fourth season of PGL Wallachia is scheduled to begin in April while the fifth edition is scheduled to begin in November.

PGL Wallachia Season 3 format

Season 3 of PGL Wallachia is divided into the group stage and qualifying rounds. The top eight teams from the group stage qualify for the playoffs, with the remaining eight teams eliminated.

The qualifiers see the top eight teams placed in a double-elimination bracket to determine the ultimate winner who will receive $300,000 (~£243,683) in prize money. All participating teams will earn a minimum of $10,000 (~£8,124).
