Team Liquid returns to Overwatch alongside Vega and Rupal

Rupal and Vega, Toronto Ultra Esports World Cup runners-up, will anchor the roster in support roles, with KNIFE (formerly of Crazy Raccoon) and TR33 (formerly of NRG Shock) taking over DPS duties. Infekted (formerly NTMR) will serve as the team’s tank.

The new Team Liquid squad will make its debut in Overwatch Champion Series 2025 – North America Phase 1, starting on January 31. The organization will face partner Spacestation Gaming and six other teams that advanced from the open qualifiers.

The top two teams will secure a spot in the Champions Clash and will face qualifying teams from other OWCS regions.

The return of Team Liquid and the introduction of the shared program will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Overwatch esports. This is especially important after the launch of its popular competitor, Marvel Rivals.
