Sean “Diddy” Combs Files Defamation Lawsuit Over Alleged Sex Tapes

In May 2024, CNN released a clip from Hotel Surveillance Video from 2016 that appeared to show combs attacking his then-girlfriend Cassieborn Cassandra Ventura. (The attack matches an alleged incident detailed in the lawsuit they filed against Combs on Nov. 16, 2023; both sides announced a settlement the next day.)

“I was f – KED up. I hit Rock Bottom,” said in a video posted to Instagram in response to the recording. “But I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.” He had since been to therapy and has since improved, he added, and was “committed to being a better man every day.”

During a Sept. 18 hearing on COMBS’ combs for Bail, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson said, per NBC news, that Kammen allegedly sent a text in the days after the attack that read, “call me, the cops are here.” Another read, “I have six children. Call, I am surrounded.”

Johnson did not say Cassie’s name in court. She said the victim responded to the COMBS via text, “sick you think it’s ok to do what you did.”

Bail was again denied, this time by a US District Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr.
