Lilly HITT celebrates joy with “KWIK-E-Mart” (first offer)
The first Lily Hayat album in four years, ForeverIt will be released on January 31 via New West. It is immersed in power that flourishes pop, distorted guitar, anesthetic singing, and the words of Hayat always. The latest song, “Kwik-E-Mart”, is a major example.
“I wrote” Kwik-E-Mart “after Liz Veer’s offer in Ryman,” explains HITT. “I was wandering with Dropped D a lot in this record, so this song came out of that, written on Electric. Something about winter makes me always feel benefiting, and some pictures begin to process. This song only helped link some things together.”
The video, directed by Joshua Schumaker, finds either the corridors with a shopping cart are filled with necessities or wandering in a car park as she remembers riding throughout the city and lit bridges. “We were freezing and attached to different parking lots to get some shots,” explains Hayat. “It is fun to keep the light improvisation of things, and this is what we have done so much.”
“I think it’s a fun enjoyable song,” Lily Hayat admits. “As in, roam and wander around. I like to have one of these on my records. I also feel it is a cold weather song.” With an easy groove and grooves directly from the peak in the nineties, “Kwik-E-Mart” celebrates the joy of joy in the simplest moments And dear memories while still lives at the present time. This is the type of daily magic in the winter “Kwik-E-Mart”.
