Wendy Williams Says Her Two Cats Were Taken Away Amid Conservatorship

Wendy Williams says goodbye to two of her co-hosts.

In an extensive interview about her three-year conservatorship, the daytime television icon shared that her cats, Chit Chat and My Way, were recently taken from her without her medical knowledge.

“My cats have been sold,” Wendy told me The Breakfast Club during an interview aired on January 16 “I had no idea … look, I don’t have my cats anymore.”

The former The Wendy Williams Show host adopted the animals in 2019, explaining on her talk show that My Way’s name was a nod to her then-recently split out ex-husband Kevin Hunter while Chit Chat’s name came from Wendy’s gift of gab. She said she only learned of her beloved pets’ rehoming after the fact through her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

“I didn’t know that until I talked to my guardian,” she said. “I wanted to have my cats with me.”

Elsewhere in the radio interview, Wendy refuted her caregiver’s claim that she has become “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated,” as stated in a November legal filing.
