NAVI and Karmine Corp are out of EMEA Kickoff; Fnatic and GIANTX survive

Defending VCT EMEA Kickoff Champion Carmine Company The team will not be able to reach the Bangkok Masters tournament as the team was eliminated in the first round of the lower bracket.

The second match saw GIANTX take a comfortable 13-8 win over Lotus, forcing the series to move to the final map, Fracture.

GIANTX dominated the first half as the score reached 8-4 in their favour. However, the French organization did not give up easily as Karmine Corp won five straight rounds in the second half to take the lead. However, GIANTX won five of the next six rounds to close out the map at 13-10 and the series at 2-1.

“I feel really happy because I think we showed how we play in matches for the first time. I think we showed that we have a lot of potential and value in our team.” said GIANTX player Tomás ‘tomaszy’ Machado On the official broadcast of VALORANT.

He also expressed his feelings about his former team Carmine Corp’s defeat. “I’m not going to lie, of course I’m happy to win against KC because they don’t want me for next season and of course it means a lot to me. But I don’t really care because when I was playing, I didn’t think about that.”

In the other series, Fnatic started strong, winning the opening map, Pearl by a score of 13-9, but NAVI responded by dominating Fracture 13-8.

In the climax, Haven reached overtime even though Navy looked comfortable in the first half. However, Fnatic bounced back and took the map away by a score of 15-13.

GIANTX and Fnatic still have a long way to go, as only the top two teams from the EMEA launch will qualify for VALORANT Masters Bangkok.
