Netflix to host a free movie “Strong Black Lead” series at the Paris Theater

Netflix honors the month of black history by making theater performances free.
Indiewire can announce that the Paris of Netflix Paris will make a special weekend of free community shows as part of the “Lead Strong Lead at the Paris” series. A total of six features will be shown starting from February 21; The series concludes February 23.
Spike Lee, George C. Wolfe, Tyler Perry, Rebecca Hall and Malcolm Washington are among the managers whose films will be shown. According to the NETFLIX actor, coordinated films were chosen as strong features that offer a unique perspective about black experiences throughout American history. “Whether based on real stories or inspired by the living experience, these six films by talented artists, and visual artists are a basic show,” says a press release.
Among those films “The Basic Watch” include the recent “The Piano Lesson”, directed by Malcolm Washington and Tyler Perry “The Six Triple Eight” starring Kerry Washington.
“The Piano Lesson” is an adaptation to August Wilson theatrical play.
“The Six Triple Eight” relies on a true story, focusing on the Black War II Battalion. Perry has a comprehensive deal with Netflix, which was extended in 2024. Perry and “Miracle from Heaven” Devon Franklin will in addition to many Netflix films as part of a new multi -photo films.
“I think in this world polarization, and while the world seems more cold every day, we share the common goal of the desire to spread some good,” Perry said in a press statement. “There is no better place than Netflix.”
Netflix also features a large collection of award -winning films as part of the “Strong Black Lead” series.
The movie “Rustin”, “Rustin”, “Rustin” and “Da 5 Bloods” from “DA 5 Bloods” in Rebecca Hall for 2021, “Rustin”, “Rustin”, “Rustin” and Dee Rees’ Mudbound “with a candidate Academy Mary J. Blige.
