DreamHack heads to Shanghai in 2025
ESL FACEIT GROUP She announced her debut Dream Hack Shanghai In 2025, to bring the gaming festival to China for the first time.
The event’s debut will coincide with Hero Esports AFC Champions Leaguewhich is scheduled to take place in the same city on the same weekend.
According to the announcement, the two events will feature high-profile competitions and influential guests and will include core DreamHack products such as the exhibition floor, artist alley and community playground.
Dreamhack is one of the largest event brands of the ESL FACEIT Group and has built a strong legacy across North America and Europe. Late last year, the company confirmed that it would host DreamHack Dallas in May 2025.
It’s not surprising to see DreamHack expand into China, as the country has been investing heavily in hosting esports events lately.
Last year, Chengdu became a host city for major international eSports competitions such as Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) and League of Legends’s Mid-Season Invitational. Furthermore, both Counter-Strike 2 and League of Legends will return in 2025, the latter dedicated to the League of Legends World Championship.
Just like DreamHack, the ACL will make its debut this year.
