Meet Mr Lucifer (1953) – Nostalgia Central

Stanley Holway plays the role of Sam Holingsworth-King demon Pantomim wash, as he knocks on the stage while thinking about the negative influence of television on business.
He finds himself descending to hell and meets Mr. Lucifer. Holway plays both parts (with his voice called Jeffrey Kane when he plays the role of Satan). Lucifer Sam is used to destroy people’s lives as a penalty to watch TV.
When Mr. Pedelty (Joseph Tumelleti) leaves his company, he is given a TV as a pension.
Initially, he enjoys all attention from his neighbors, but soon – with bankruptcy that waves on the horizon of extensive entertainment for all those thirsty souls – gravity explodes.
TV sells two married couples – Jim and Kitty Norton – they live in the apartment above it. Soon Jack (Jack Watering) and Kitty (Peggy Cummins) face the same problems, and the group is passed again – this time to Dour Chemist Hector McPhee (Gordon Jackson).
Hector is in love with “The Lonely Hearts”, which he sees on TV. Initially, the group works to improve its personality, but with the growth of his obsession, it becomes increasingly angry at any interruption.
The story becomes very coherent, and it is transmitted as it is from one family to another all the time.
Elen’s production was based on the 1951 play The beggar is my neighborWritten by Arnold Ridley (who later played Godfrey in the successful TV comedy series My father’s army).
Many well -known TV characters appear in the BBC in the movie as itself.
