Dave Grohl Supports Families Displaced by Wildfires in Rare Appearance

Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Jamie Lee Curtis and more stars give back amid LA fires
Dave Grohl found time to be a hero on his birthday.
The Foe Fighters frontman stepped out for a rare performance on January 14 – which happened to mark the day he turned 55 – to help those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
Dave gave back with the Feed The Streets Los Angeles organization, which has prepared and served meals for incarcerated firefighters, frontline workers and families who have been displaced as a result of the fires that have been burning across Southern California since 7. January.
In a video posted by the organization on Instagram, the “Best of You” singer is dressed in his signature black T-shirt, jeans and a hat while he stirs a giant pot of chili. In another clip, Dave is seen walking down the street with a handful of meals that were set to be given out.
Dave has previously worked with the organization to feed the homeless population in LA, with the former Nirvana drummer who used his free time – and skills on the barbecue – to prepare food for others less fortunate in February.
