Jason Derulo talks taking risks, becoming a Dad & body insecurities, on latest episode of ‘Great Company with Jamie Laing’ podcast

Just 24 hours until the end of the second annual TikTok edition Global Live Festival in London, American superstar Jason Derulo opens to Jamie Laing on everything from growing up, making music, becoming a dad, breaking your spine and consequently having to cancel your tour, in the latest episode of the Radio 1 DJ podcast “Great company with Jamie Laing”.
Famous for a string of global hits, including ‘What are you saying’, ‘I want to want myself’ And “In my head”Derulo has long been praised for his dazzling live performance skills, often showcasing intricate and frankly breathtaking choreography in his music videos and stage shows.

Speaking to Jamie about his love of music and how he likes to take risks in the studio, Jason says: “I think it’s important to do something new and bring something new to the table . I remember when my A&R Mike Karen – who by the way is one of the best A&Rs EVER – heard “Dirty Talk” for the first time, and he said to me: “Either it’s going to be the biggest hit in the world, or it’s going to make noise!” At that moment I knew I had to record this song.
Opening up about his insecurities away from the spotlight, the three-time Teen Choice Award winner shares, “When people talk about my weight, it can be difficult. I always thought you should show your insecurities with a smile, but sometimes it’s hard to do that when you feel like the whole world is watching you and sometimes judging you.
