Three years after their last feature film, “The Gray Man” was presented on Netflix and a year before returning to the Marvel cinematographic universe, directors Anthony and Joe Russo are back. “The electrical state” is not in particular the first piece of the work of Stålenhag which was adapted by Hollywood. The Amazon Prime Video 2020 science fiction series, “Tales from the Loop”, was also inspired by an art book from Stålenhag.

The original novel of “State Electric” takes place in the late 1990s and followed a teenager and her robot as they embarked on a trip through the American West Coast in search of her brother lost for a long time in an alternative reality where the world was ravaged and transformed into a dystopian wasteland by advanced technology. The new Netflix adaptation maintains the alternative framework of the 90s from his source material and he follows a young woman in the same way as she leaves with a robot to try to find her brother, whom she believed before dead.
Who adapted “the electrical state”?
The scenario of “the electric state” was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
