Riot Games Adds In-Game Fundraisers for VALORANT and League of Leagues for Los Angeles Wildfire Relief

Game publisher Riot Games It announced that it will launch in-game fundraising campaigns league of legends and Valorant To support those affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.

The initiative is scheduled to begin on January 22 across the various Riot Games regions, with proceeds going to Riot Games Social Impact Fund. This will then be used to fund organizations that help with natural disaster recovery in Southern California and around the world.

From January 22 to 30, VALORANT will turn its EX.O Collection into a “Give Back Pack,” with proceeds from weapon skins and accessories going to the fundraiser.

On the other hand, League of Legends will be unveiling the limited edition Firefighter Tristana, starting on January 23 at 12 PM PT (8 PM GMT) until February 5 at 11:59 AM PT (8 PM GMT).

The VALORANT EX.O skin line is the latest release released by the game developer. Meanwhile, Fireman Tristana is a special skin that was released in 2010 and is no longer purchasable due to its outdated condition.

As published by the Riot Games blogthe company launched a double fundraising campaign for Rioters, tripling its charitable contributions to help organizations such as the California Fire Department Foundation, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, International Medical Corps, American Red Cross, and World Central Kitchen. Furthermore, the company made direct donations.

Riot Games, which is headquartered in Los Angeles, announced it was closing its offices to all but “critical jobs” last week, with several employees losing their homes due to wildfires.

The company noted, “This crisis has severely impacted our teams, as some rioters lost their homes and many others are still being evacuated.”

“In moments like these, our priority is their health and safety. We have taken steps to support rioters in getting through this difficult time by providing temporary housing, emergency stipends, and access to counseling services. We are committed to developing this support as their needs become clearer.”
