And four months later, for her first performance in four yearsthe “Power of Love” singer made the best comebacksing Edith Piaf‘s “Hymne A L’Amour” at the Eiffel Tower during the Opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“I am honored to have performed tonight, for the Opening Ceremony of Paris 2024, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities,” she wrote in her Instagram post in July after her performance. “Most of all, I am so happy to celebrate these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance.”
