Catriona Secker graphics

In its graphic drawings and graphic paintings, Catriona Secker finds inspiration in the textbooks of biology and Tomes ancient natural history. In the drawing above, in particular, the artist said that she found an inspiration in the genitals of cockroaches. Secker, who has been shown in Hong Kong, Australia, and beyond, is located in Sydney.

“It seems that biology and cellular cultures give life to its soft beings,” says Sond Kumser. “One black and white image is covered in eyes, while in another, they are threatening a sharp virusan fetus in a group of marine herbs and nematodes. The fetus does not sleep. Its colorful works are more bloody. Foot, claws, and homogeneous viscera.”
