Razer unveils AI esports coaching project at CES 2025


Gaming accessories brand Scanner has unveiled its latest project, an eSports coach that aims to provide real-time insights and analysis.
Named Ava projectThis concept was presented at the technology trade fair Consumer Electronics Show 2025 The company has described it as “the ideal co-pilot for AI gaming.”
One of the main functions of the AVA project is to use artificial intelligence (AI) to provide eSports coaching while users are playing games. According to the peripheral brand, players will be provided with real-time insights driven by data from coaches and players on Team Razer.
Users will also be able to analyze and review performance through personalized post-match summaries that highlight areas for improvement.
Team Razer consists of the brand’s various esports partners, such as teams and players. In 2024, Razer announced partnerships with Movistar Koi (previously Black madness KOI) and TALON as well as eSports players Eric ‘Snip3down’ Wrona (Apex Legends) and Zachary “Zeken” Patron (Valorant).
Along with eSports training, the AVA project is expected to include an AI gaming guide. Using knowledge bases, the guide aims to help users through puzzles, bosses, and quests within the games.
Moreover, the AVA project also aims to improve the user’s computer setup. According to Razer, the AI concept will analyze and adjust the gamer’s PC based on its specifications and the user’s desired game settings. In addition, the project checks for the latest updates in hardware, software and firmware.

Interestingly, Razer also noted that Project AVA was developed as a tool for game developers as well as gamers.
In the company’s FAQ, Razer stated: “Project AVA was developed by Razer’s AI gaming team as a tool for game developers and gamers.
“Game developers are expected to use Project AVA in their games as an onboarding tool, tutorial, and more. Players can also use Project AVA as a copilot throughout their games to help as a coach, guiding companion, and improvement tool.
Razer has revealed that it will announce a beta test for Project AVA later this year.
