John Jacobsmir returns with “Locus Colossus”

In fact, parallel to John Jacobsmir, pop culture and the history of art collide with the background of his youth in the suburbs. In his third individual exhibition at the Poulsen exhibition, entitled “Locus Colossus”, it presents new panels and Linocuts with this amazing convergence. The show continues until February 15th in Denmark. (Jacobsmeyer last time was shown on our website here.)

The exhibition says: “He grew up in suburban societies, where he left the construction of local highways and sub -divisions only shops where he and other children were building clubs from plywood and creating dangerous games that involve climbing trees and fireworks.” “It seems that a lot of wood has not provided any of the transcendent inspiration that you will find in Friedrich’s paintings or the metaphysical horror of Boy. But it has slowed down to see something strong there in the neglected nature of nature, in clearing between trees or, every day, he wanders in everything. The absurdity becomes the smell.”
