Los Angeles based designer Monaco Colombia It is one of the brands that will be showing with us during September Fashion Week in New York! Where does the name come from? Brand owner Danny says:My parents met and fell in love in Monaco. My parents are also Colombian and Nigerian. She took the two best parts of me and this love child was created. “

Dani’s love for fashion began when she was a child. She says:I’ve always been very particular about what I want to wear, my grandmother couldn’t afford to buy me what I liked, so I would design my own cute, loose-fitting collection and make something out of nothing. When I got my first job in the clothing industry in my early 20s, I was able to see how a clothing factory was run. From here, I realized that I wanted to express my creativity and love for fabrics through my designs. “

And she continues, “I have worked in the apparel industry for 25 years at companies like True Religion, Seven Jeans, and BCBG to name a few; from production, fabric buyer, and design. My earliest childhood memories have to be from my middle school yearbook when a fellow student wrote that I was the best dressed.

At The Bomb Fashion Show, we can expect Monaco Colombia’s signature loose design meets classic style. She explains: “We draw on timeless influences from Colombian and European cultures. This new collection has been sourced and crafted to reflect a dynamic fusion of the two, resulting in a unique and innovative aesthetic that you must experience. With innovation, style and quality as our driving force, every piece will be designed to deliver an unparalleled impact.
