Stacey Solomon & Joe Swash to star in brand new BBC reality series
BBC Factual this week announced details of a major new reality series featuring Stacey Solomon And Joe Swash.
Broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer, “Stacey and Joe” will see cameras follow the lives of the beloved couple, their children, four ducks and two dogs, giving viewers a refreshing and honest view of their modern blended family. Thanks to social media, millions of followers have been given a glimpse into their lives at home, but this is the first time they have opened their doors to invite viewers into the heart of Pickle Cottage.
Raise their ‘pickles’Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle, ages 16 to 1, is no small feat, especially when combining busy work schedules and ambitious passion projects like building a fishing lake of two acres.
Filmed over the summer and fall of 2024, the series shows the couple as they celebrate their second wedding anniversary, revealing how they met and fell in love. The cameras also follow 16-year-old Zach as he nervously awaits his GCSE results and we see Stacey win big at the National Television Awards.
Can a well-deserved summer vacation to Türkiye bring some harmony to the couple as they face their busiest year ever? And as Joe has spent more time at home over the past 18 months, Stacey is adamant she wants to spend more time with the kids.
The series ends with the family all together as they prepare for a festive Christmas at Pickle Cottage.
Commenting on the series via a BBC press release, Stacey Solomon said: “2024 was the year Joe and I pushed ourselves out of our comfort zone. We took on different projects and tried new things. It’s been so amazing and scary at the same time… And we just want to keep doing this in 2025, starting with “Stacey and Joe”. Working with the BBC and Optomen on “Sort out your life” has been a dream come true, so this team made total sense. We loved showing another side of our family’s fun and chaos. We can’t wait for you to join us at Pickle Cottage this year.
Swash adding: “We’ve done our best to keep this a secret… But we’re so happy to finally be able to tell you about it. “Stacey and Joe”. Over the years we’ve been asked a lot to do a show like this, but having the opportunity to work with the BBC and Optomen was really exciting. It will be the normal craziness of a family with lots of kids, lots of pets and two busy parents. Here we go!”
